Privacy Policy

Applies to: The Stepdown mobile application (the “App”).
Momentum Aksiyon Teknoloji Ltd. Şti. (“Stepdown,” “we,” “us,” “our”), operating the App under the Stepdown brand, is responsible for your information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. By creating an account or using the App, you acknowledge this Policy.
1. What Stepdown Is (and Isn't)
Stepdown is a nicotine-tapering habit app. It helps you build and follow a week-by-week plan to gradually reduce nicotine from vapes, cigarettes, or pouches, tracks a habit score we call your Nic Score, and offers guidance through an in-app AI coach. Stepdown is not a medical service, a diagnostic tool, or a treatment, and it does not provide medical advice. Your Nic Score is a habit-tracking figure, not a health measurement or diagnosis.
2. Who the App Is For (18+)
The App is intended for users 18 years of age or older. During onboarding we ask your age. If you indicate you are under 18, you are not the intended user, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@aestheticmatch.com and we will delete it.
3. Information We Collect
Account & profile information
- Name and email address (received from your sign-in method — Sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password).
- Age (for the age gate and personalization).
Intake answers & your plan
- The answers you give during onboarding — for example your nicotine product type (vape, cigarettes, or pouches), how much and how often you use it, cost, and your triggers and goals.
- The Nic Score and taper plan (“staircase”) we generate from those answers, and your check-ins, progress, streaks, and milestones over time.
Coaching content
- Messages you send to, and receive from, the in-app AI coach, and your coaching and check-in history.
- Optional voice memos: if you choose to record a voice memo, we store the audio (and any text derived from it) to provide that feature. The microphone is used only while you are recording, and only with your permission.
Subscription and transaction information
- Your subscription status, plan, and renewal/cancellation events. Purchases are made through Apple In-App Purchase, and we receive confirmation of your purchase and entitlement status. We do not receive or store your payment card number.
Usage and diagnostic data
- App interactions and events (for example, onboarding steps completed, Nic Score computed, screens viewed, check-ins completed), plus device and app-version information and similar diagnostic data, collected through our analytics provider (see Section 6).
Notifications
- If you grant permission, a push notification token and your notification preferences (for example, taper reminders and check-in nudges).
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Generate your Nic Score and personalized taper plan.
- Track your progress, streaks, and milestones, and adapt your plan.
- Power the AI coach and your check-ins.
- Send the notifications you've enabled.
- Manage your subscription and access level.
- Measure, debug, secure, and improve the App.
- Provide support and comply with legal obligations.
5. AI Coach & Third-Party AI Processing (Please Read)
The App's coach is powered by AI. To generate coach responses, your messages to the coach and related plan context (such as your Nic Score, plan stage, and progress) are sent to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.), our third-party AI provider acting as our service provider under contract, solely to produce your results.
- Per OpenAI's API terms, data sent through their API is not used to train their models and is retained by OpenAI only transiently for abuse monitoring (up to 30 days) and then deleted.
- We ask for your permission in the App, with this disclosure, before your messages are first sent to our AI provider.
- The coach is an AI feature for habit and self-care guidance. It is not a medical provider and does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat. See the App's Terms of Service.
6. Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve it. We use analytics for our own product purposes only. We do not use analytics or any advertising identifiers to track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not track you across other apps, the App does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only to provide their services to us, including: OpenAI (AI coach responses — see Section 5), Apple (In-App Purchase billing), Superwall (paywall presentation and subscription analytics), PostHog (product analytics), and our hosting and infrastructure providers.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others. If we are involved in a merger or acquisition, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You are in control:
- You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete account), which performs a hard deletion of your intake answers, Nic Score history, coaching content, and account data.
- After deletion, we delete or de-identify your associated personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or financial compliance.
Lapsed subscribers retain a read-only progress history until they delete it or their account.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. California (CCPA/CPRA) and EU/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR) residents have additional rights and may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email support@aestheticmatch.com. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
11. International Users & Transfers
The App is operated from Türkiye, and our service providers process data primarily in the United States. If you use the App from outside these countries, you understand that your information is transferred to and processed there, and where required by law we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version in the App and on our site and update the Effective Date. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
